sunday stills; textures
This weeks challenge as the title suggests was textures. I was hoping to have my macro lens by today but unfortunately it wasn’t here in time; it should arrive from Sydney tomorrow (yay).
This is my “feature wall” in my bedroom; sandstone paint, it’s very rough to touch.

Aperture:f/3.5 / Exposure time:1/30 sec / ISO speed:640 / Focal length:18mm / Lens:Nikkor Nikkor 18-55mm AF-S DX VR

Aperture:f/5 / Exposure time:1/30 sec / ISO speed:1250 / Focal length:36mm / Lens:Nikkor Nikkor 18-55mm AF-S DX VR
My favourite shoes;

sunday stills textures challenge;
Tomorrow I have to get a blood test to check my iron, vitamin d12 & b, thyroid, protein & folate levels. Eh; I have a phobia of needles, so it’s not something I’m looking forward to but it’s necessary.
P.S thank-you to Daniel who introduced me to McDonalds “quarter pounders” – omg YUM! <3
(imitation is the highest form of flattery)

Very impressive Chloe! I have to hone my photography skills. Hope you’ll get your macro lens soon. And enjoy it!

Mmm! I’ll take my bread with butter and roasted garlic, please. Geat textures on your selections. The wall is very interesting, too.

Great texture shots. I need to have a little more imagination in my photography (I’m pretty new to this).

I loved them all Chloe – I think that strangely my favorite was the bread, just because I so wasn’t expecting that in a row of texture stills. Of course it IS a texture, very much so, it’s just that I would think of the rest of the things you put up as the more obvious choices. So the bread suddenly hit me, and I really liked it.

Bread, shoes, wall, so many things I didn’t even consider :/ I like how you lit the wall up, very resourceful to bring out the roughness. Shame you didn’t have your macro lens, these shots are begging for it.
lol @ McDonalds, love it! I bet my heart hates me for stuffing my face with a big mac every now and then. Oh well, we only live once, let’s not deny ourselves the pleasure of such cholesterol-inducing devilshness!
A student did my blood test once, she couldn’t find the vein and jabbed me 7 times before finding it :( not trying to scare you, just letting you know it can always be worse :D just don’t look…

Love those shoes! My favorite shot is the bread, though, it is so detailed in texture I can almost smell it, and certainly would like to eat a piece!

Looks like to me that you don’t need a macro lens…beautifully done…all of them. But, I do have to say that the bread is exceptional…something I’d have never thought of. Well done!
