10:10pm & for the first time in a week I’m actually tired.
Today was my first day back at work since being off sick for a week & lets be honest; I wouldn’t have gone back, if I hadn’t have been needed to process the payroll, end of month & end of financial year stuff. At least I got everything done without having to stay back :) that’s always nice.

I’m excited to report I have bought myself the “AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED” (macro lens). Should be here by next week from Sydney, along with some goodies I ordered from Hong Kong via ebay – thanks (for the help) k.rudd.

I slightly freaked out when I checked into my bank tonight, a good freak out though. I’m almost there;

I’m not sure exactly what I’m “saving” for at the moment because we keep changing our plans but either way I’m saving & it makes me happy.

  1. It’s always fun to see the money rolling in from busting your ass off at work!
    I loved this photo, by the way… It made me think of a spooky story in railways and tunnels and underground chase scenes.

  3. Good to hear you’re back on your feet. Ah finally made the purchase :) just had a quick peek and looks like an excellent piece of kit! What other goodies? God I’m nosy.

    Saving, not one of my best characteristics lol but then I tell myself the world could end tomorrow… although the physicist in me tells me I will be long gone before anything of the sort happens. Your bank statement puts me to infinite shame :(

  4. I am jealous of your cashflow and your new toy on the way.

    I really like the gloomy feel of this though. And the flare completes it.

  7. Congrats with your new lens. I was just thinking of you a few minutes ago when I read somewhere that the prices for Nikonlenses are going up everywhere all the time. So good thing you bought it now.

  8. Yes, the old centre of Amsterdam is just as pretty as it is in the movies. That is why so many movies are made there. But right now the place is a mess because they re building another metro tube. So you better wait a year or so before visiting. And yes, you can buy softdrugs freely in one of the many so called ‘coffeeshops’.Quite a lot of tourists spend their whole holiday in one of those ;-)
