executive decision;
So, lets be honest the world is in recession & the two companies I work for are small. Luckily for me, the company which officially employs me & pays my weekly wage is doing better out of the two. I guess I’m under a bit of stress because lets face it, I know exactly what’s going on behind the scenes, what money each company has, where it’s going, what’s coming in, how it’s being shared & saved; my office is located in between both my boss’s so I hear everything (not that anything is too private for me to not be aware of.) With the responsibilities I have every day, comes a headache to go with it which seems to be more frequent these days.
I started issuing job numbers last week for the guys down stairs & the guys in the drawing office because my boss is under so much pressure he has a constant migraine & can’t concentrate. I didn’t ask, I just used my initiative to take on the roll.
This morning when I arrived to work my boss greeted me with “I’ve got a bone to pick with you.” I then waited two (anxious; because I didn’t know what I’d done) hours before he made his way into my (closed door, heater blaring) office & sat down on the chair opposite my desk. “I’ve got a bone to pick with you.” pause, “yes, so you do *sweet smile.” “since when do you make executive decisions around here?” – his broad smile broke & he couldn’t keep the whole –I’m annoyed at you, you’re in trouble- front up. still having no idea what exactly he was talking about, I asked “what executive decision have I made?”. “to issue job numbers. Which is the best idea yet! I’m handing that job over to you officially. You are much more up to date & organised than I am. So I’ll come to you for job numbers from now on, ok?”.
This is more than fine with me because then jobs won’t be getting doubled up & confused & changed because of miscommunication.
That was my day & I felt it worthy of sharing. Now on to the more important side of life.
My cat is constantly hyperactive, so he makes for good movement shots:

P.s I like Lily Allen:
“do you get, do you get a little kick out of being small-minded?
you want to be like your father
it’s approval you’re after
well that’s not how you’ll find it.
do you, do you really enjoy living a life that’s so hateful
cause there’s a hole where your soul should be
you’re losing control of it
and it’s really distasteful.”
P.p.s thanks to Nivin who designed (with my help) my photography logo.

Top photo is, without a doubt, my favourite so far, lovely balck and white, bright whites and deep blacks. Strong crisp lines on the right and a lovely motion blur in the bottom left corner. Superb composition!
Love the symmetry of the last photo too, nice way to use a tiny apperture to get a long exposure.

Oh, noes. Watch out, boss. She’ll soon be taking over the company! ;)
You should be careful with those evil higher ISOs! They can be … evil!
(and nice job with the logo, Nivin)

Those two hours would have killed me.
I love the angle on the black and white and there is something about the second photo with the triangle on his head that I absolutely love.

It’s long I didn’t hear from you. I design some houses in Greece and I’m mostly there.
I’d like to make you a present: Jethro Tull – Thick As A Brick (Live); go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PcX_D5Z_CA&feature=related; I hope you’ll like it.
Like always, your photos are amazing.
See you,

Lovely cat. Looks like he/she is a dab hand at balancing billiard triangles on its head in the 2nd photo. I’m sat here squinting at your 4th pic trying to see any noise, looks solid for ISO 3200! Any noise removal?
Don’t put your camera down for so long next time :P

You wanna know what the definition of stress is?!?! A pyschological or physiological respose to an event that an individual perceives to be a threat….. That’s it… The reason I’m telling you that is because it sounds like you are really stressed out, and whenever I’m stressed I repeat the exact definition in my mind and it makes me feel better… I know, pretty wierd!LOL!! But just knowing that even though the definition sounds really complex, it’s really pretty basic. I just thought it might help you out a bit. I was really checking your blog cause I HAVEN’T HEARD FROM YOU IN A WHILE AND I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE DOING OK. I hope I didn’t do anything to upset you! I’ve been working on this and I’d like your HONEST opinion before I put finishing touches on it and post it. Basically, I wanna see if you think it’s even worth the time and effort to finish. I TRUST your judgemnet so I wanna know what you think before I put anymore time into it.
“From the intense instant that we locked our eyes,
I awaited the exsistence of a distant surprise.
The passion was relentless & couldn’t be measured by size.
As far as your scent went… It set me on fire deep inside.
I knew in this exact minute that you had to be mine!
Even though ignorance is bliss, falling so hard just isn’t wise.
Every single one of my senses fooled me & told me lies.
It might sound twisted & sick, but I knew you would create my demise.”……..
That’s all I have so far and I haven’t even tweaked that part of it, so it’s pretty sloppy. I like where I started, how it’s flowing, and where it’s going… but I’m not sure I like it THAT MUCH! At least not enough to put more work into it. If you like it I will be more than happy to perfect it. I’m just not sure how I feel about it so I thought I would ask my personal poetic advisor! LOL!! Let me know what you TRULY think… HELL, let me know how you are doing! I’d like to catch up on how our lives are going! Take care beautiful and I hope to hear from ya soon…

By the way… I also wanted to give you props on your jobs. It sounds like you have ALOT of responsibilities and I admire the fact that you can take all of that on. That has to be soooooo much shit to have on your chest all the time so I totally understand why you sre stressed. It sounds like you are VERY responsible, especially for no older than you are! GOOD FOR YOU CHLOE!!!

Glad to hear of your success at the office and I hope the future smiles on your business.
Thought provoking photos. I like the stark contrasts which really make them come alive.
Your hallway has a rather regal but warm softness – definitely a come-in-and-take-the-load-off-your-mind look.
The lamp stirs thoughts of an inner warmth and hope behind the pain.
The dear cat seems to find that time moves too slowly.
A pleasurable visit as always :-)

I wanted to take a minute to tell you HOW SORRY I AM! I realized when I read your comment how selfish and self centered I’ve been… and for that I apologize. My schedule is really hectic, so I don’t have much extra time to visit you and say hey… BUT I PROMISE THAT I’LL DO IT MORE OFTEN. I won’t send you a message only telling you that I have put up a new post. I hope that you forgive me…
