TO RUMINATE ABOUT MY LIFE;

As I sunk into the smooth, soft, suede couch I was at ease. The words didn’t hang in the air like the past. The comfort of finally talking to someone who gets “me”, who gets who I am, how I feel & how I think. The future is once again forecast for greatness & achievements.

There’s something about keeping secrets & only sharing them with the person you love, that makes each day special. & I’m happy to say, the most precious parts of me are only revealed to my lover.

  2. The whiskey bottle is a very interesting shot. At first my eye went past it to the flowers (big surprise). What drew me back was the shadow…then I understood what the photo meant.

  8. Excellent stuff, Chloe.

    I love the Jim Beam.

(The photo, that is. If I drank a bottle of it, I would look like Keith Richards in minutes).

  9. Thanks fo the comments Chloe. To answer your questions:

The black and white is taken at ISO 100 on my digital compact (I carry it everywhere so I never miss an opportunity). I do the B&W conversion in lightroom/photoshop. If you’re getting noise on your B&Ws it could be high ISO or it could be that there’s some sort of feature built into your camera to add noise when shooting in-camera B&W, some people like it as it looks like film grain …

The shot of the road was taken out of my car window while stoped at traffic lights (again on the compact). Just set as wide as possible and not really aimed, a lucky snap shot!

I drive a 1997 Vauxhall Vectra which is just about holding itself together. The engine’s in great condition (thus I’m loathed to part with it) but it’s looking pretty dated now and my vanity will only let me keep it for so much longer ;)

    Off to snap today’s picture!

  11. “From the intense instant that we locked our eyes,
I awaited the exsistence of a distant surprise!” I came up with that last night and thought it was amazing. I hope you like it. Cool pics by the way. I loved the one of the running water and the sink… But I also loved the Jim Beam one. Tara use to LOVE drinking Jim Beam! It was her favorite, so we drank it quite often.

The 2nd image has that oil painting feel to it.

  20. Yeah! I always try to get panoramas of curvy landscapes.its a bit hard to join. Right now I’m working on a pano-the same view but the full top view and a twilight sky is there. I’m getting so many loose ends..its really hard to tie all the ends up.. Its really testing my patience!
But i cant keep that theme. when I add new photos its been reduced to 600px width..thats too small for photos like my panorama and all. So I will be going back to the monotone. You got the photo for sketching? let me know.

  23. I think that a truly good relationship is one like yours – where your lover is also your best friend, your confidante, your adviser and sympathizer, while also coming to you for the same things and not letting it be one-sided.
We’re pretty lucky to have found ones like this, eh?

  24. whether or not I’m here, I know what you’ve been going through, and I wish you well, I know you’ll be doing just fine. you one lucky person to have a bunch of great people supporting you from behind. That’s what everyone searching for and you got it. It’s hard to expect what tomorrow would bring but then again it’s even harder to not going through it all. :)

Aus is the world champions in cricket..but not having a great time after the retirements of some senior players last year. Rules are simple.
