it’s all apart of growing up
The last time I bared myself to a counsellor was at the tender age of 15. I never really felt 100% comfortable with her so I kept some things to myself; I held back important parts of me. I always felt like she was judging me & her ‘help’ was always off topic.
Tomorrow I start my sessions with Annie, a professional psychologist who I’d been referred to by my doctor. I’m hoping I feel comfortable with her, that she can help me(?)
I’m going to be honest with her & I’m going to tell her of my last counselling sessions & exactly why they didn’t work.
I’m optimistic about Annie & I. She comes highly recommended from Robyn (my doctor) & I trust Robyn when she says I’ll be able to talk easily to Annie as I can her.
I’m vowing to “never drink again” (although “again” does mean soon in my books.) I never vomit from drinking too much alcohol in one session & I’m never out of control, I stand straight, I dance normally & my speech is correct & fluent; which is sometimes more than I can say for other people lol.
Once again I put my social life before photography this weekend, so today with my wonderful hangover I decided to attempt slow shutter photography with a different subject in mind.
I’m a big fan of American dad; I have all the seasons on dvd. This was taken from the end of my bed, looking up at my tv (a handheld shot);I think there’s a least four frames in this:
F/stop: f/36
Exposure time: 10 sec.
ISO speed: ISO-200
Focal length: 45mm
Flash mode: no flash
Exposure program: manual
White balance: manual
Anything longer than a 10 second opening & I get bored.
Powder room sink, handheld & cropped; I love how running water appears & now I’m keen to get out & find somewhere exciting where I can take these photo’s.
F/stop: f/29
Exposure time: 13 sec.
ISO speed: ISO-200
Focal length: 30mm
Flash mode: no flash
Exposure program: manual
White balance: manual

I like the faucet…I know how you feel about water. Its been calling me, too.

I’m okay.. i’m just stuck with all those photos. Actually there is nothing great to be honest! :(
Send me the photo to my mail. why do you need a phsychologist? You drink too much? every weekend?
Really cool shots. The tv shot is really cool and creative. for a handheld shot of 10 sec..thats amazing. Because I cant see any blur on the edges. Keep it up!(amazing steady hands) The second one is also a real cool thing to try. Have you ever tried focusing on the water?

I like how you caught quite a few different frames of family guy on the TV. How did you get into photography and how did you start to improve?

I sincerely hope that Annie is able to exorcise your “demon”.
American Dad I am liking too (sorry but Master Yoda of Star Wars is still levitating inside my head).
He’s so American (not Yoda but AD): patriotic to the point of selling his own grandmother for enemy secrets, but human enough to rescue her again – perhaps giving up both arms in the process.
A talking goldfish might be better company than a two footer, as it can’t take a swipe at you, even if it would like to, and its demands would always be ‘reasonable’.
I’d love to have a sophisticated alien in house, too, to give me a different perspective on things. Perhaps he, she or it would have refreshingly new and above all convincing theories on “Life, the Universe, and Everything”, and perhaps at last an answer to the age old conundrum of “Why meringues sometimes collapse”. The water from the faucet looks as though it’s trying to disappear!

Wow, who ever thought a shot of running water could be so…incredible? It really is an amazing photo, Chloe, but then again, amazing photo’s from you are to be expected (you are sooo good with a camera).
Otto Man, I’m with you there on the eyes, “holy hell” is right. Chloe, if you ever decide to give them up…I’ll gladly take them, lol. Sheesh, they are absolutely stunning.
Oh, love the AD shot, too, it’s super!
