personal watercraft
Happy Easter to you all.
I finally got to take my baby (Rex) out for a hoon on the water today. As expected he goes like formula one on race day, he’s smooth, fast & quite the head turner; it’s times like these I think I should have been a boy, lol.
Meet Rex, he’s a 2006 Yamaha VX110 sport, clocked up only 34 hours (to date) on the water. He’s only had one previous owner & has been regularly serviced with no problems; my cousin works at Yamaha, he has been servicing him & recommended this one for me to buy.
Often when I’m out I have moments where I’ll see something & wish I had my camera to capture it, today I did. This little old dear intrigued me, I hope she didn’t mind my taking her photograph.

Happy EASTER to you too buddy. Atlast here it is!!Your Boy looks awesome! If I was in Vic I would’ve been at your door by this time KNOCKIN..just to..Ohh! Can I take him for a spin???hehe! I need more photos..mayb some stunt photos of his..lol. But I think you need a telephoto lens for sure. those photos would’ve been more stunning, if it was much more close. How much did you pay for him? I like him but I still go for my dream bike than a jetski. :D
I really like the first photo. the water is so clean n clear. And the different colour shades on the surface is just brilliant. Did she really saw you taking her photograph?. Hey..thats a cool pano! so you are using photo merge…thats cool. but I can see a small problem with this panorama. One stitched area is visible, because of the difference in exposure I think. Resulted in a wide faded line. These things are common with stitching. some softs are not good enough to adjust the exposure correctly by itself. Try taking all the snaps in a flash.Take it like Wooooosshh!! that will eliminate the problems with moving objects and lightings. But you are doing great. keep experimenting. Btw Its really addicitve. lol! how many photos are there in this one? 4/5? Maybe I’m looking too hard, to be honest I can c 3 lines..very light, but still I can c it. Can you? the stitching is perfect, just the shades in the sky is not really matching. Haha…That stud(bird) is not that lucky!!! haha! I love your comments too. They are so supportive and inspiring. Thank you. I wasnt lying down for that one..(lol) But I really do things(embarassing sometimes) to take some good shots..People around might think..what de heck is he doing!! haha. never bothered abt the crowd anyways. thats why I posted One-of-US(Just to express that feeling for fellow photographers) Glad you like that post. I like the coke can idea. why dont you take more of those. Again good work with the panorama. :D :D
Have a Good day!

hi, my dear; i didn’t “update” you, becouse you are my friend, doesn’t meter how often we talk; as my projects: i do in architecture what you do in photography; i’m proud than i have the possibility to work next to my favourite architect (tom wright), without comparing my work with his; and – yes, there are good money, even if there are not more than some holiday houses.
when you’ll be 50, i’m sure you’ll be famous, as you deserve.
your – like always – dan.

Beach photography is in deed an interesting exercise. The blue and the surf cultures are always the best photographing subject.
Beautiful art

Very nice shot of the older lady. I’m so addicted to candids- I really need that 35 so I can do some street shooting. I think I’m going to call Berger Brothers tomorrow and see if they ever got their shipment in. Well worth having them ship it.
Shoot enough and you stop worrying about what they think. Then it’s really fun.
I actually was in the place I’ll be working in May yesterday. It’s a little tuxedo store- I used to work at one in high school, so I know most of the tricks, and I’ll be helping them for a few weeks during their busy season before I head out to the country to teach at a summer program.

I meant to add that I really like the processing on that one as well. Very effective, but not over the top. Great work. Keep shooting candids- it makes you brave.

I grew up in the Caribbean and seeing these photos made me terribly homesick! BTW, I think the one where you needed the telephoto looks great like it is…you get the feeling of speed more than you would with a telephoto.

Hey Chloe, thanks for the comment.
Love the third pic from the bottom, really puts me in a summery mood!
I’ve just started a 365 photo project (a photo a day for a year) which I must start blogging but it’s currently on my flickr site (you can click through via the pics on my blog if you’re interested).
Keep up the good work.

Wow, very impressive. I would love to try that one day!
Great shots too.
BTW thank you for your comments on my blog. You are going to love the nikon 105mm. That is a fantastic lens. I opted for the tammy because of the lower weight and the lower price. But the Nikon is supposed to be great.

That one’s from a few weeks ago, although I suspect once I have more time I’ll keep shooting the weird films (cross process, redscale, etc.). It’s too much fun not to. I’m not missing it too much now because I’m not really shooting much, but I know I will.
Strangers can make the most interesting photos, and the bad girl feeling will get a little weaker with each shutter click.
I’m teaching at a summer program for high-achieving high school students from disprivileged areas that aims to help them be the first in their families to go to college. It’s an awesome program, but living in the middle of nowhere for seven weeks is not the best.

Hi beautiful! How are ya? I hope good! I just wanted to let you know that I put up a new post. It’s still not perfected and it’s a work in progress… But I didn’t care! I just wanted to post something! I hope you like it. I happen to love it, but to each is own. I think that you won’t have any problems feeling my pain and passion through my words. Some of it’s a little harsh, but it’s how I feel, so I had to express it. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! You know that I value your opinion rather it’s good or bad. Bye baby…

I have a little more time now so I wanted to come back and check out your latest pics. I have to say that you never cease to amaze me. They are all very beautiful… Especially the ones with water. I love riding wave runners. I also have to compliment you on the new pic of you. I’m a total sucker for brown eyes, but I totally love the bright blue contacts on you! Great job looking beautiful, but then again it seems to come soooooooo easy for you! I still wanna know what you think of my new post. It’s pretty brash and honest, but if you can’t feel my emotions then I did something wrong. I don’t want to offend anyone, but anyone who is going to take the time to read it has already read some of my previous writing, so they should know I can be a little offensive from time to time! Atleast I’m honest and I write about how I truly feel! I really hope you like it. I enjoyed writing it. I haven’t written in so long that I forgot how good it felt to take pride in something that you have a passion for. I always find myself wondering what you are going to think as I’m writing something new. You are kind of my personal critic. You have stuck with me from the begining and have been very supportive… And for that I thank you, Chloe! I hope you have a good weekend babe! Chat with you later…

I really enjoy your pics. That’s a sleek craft you have for plowing the waves. The nature shots are marvelous and the coke can creates its own magic.

Hi Chloe.. I saw you on The Cluttered Bubble.
I just wanted to say that the Coke can shot is one of the best shots i’ve seen on the ‘net in a long time. Beautiful.

Hi, Chloe,
I waded my way through all the comments on this posting, but could find no reference to the item which appears in the water just below the horizon in the fourth photo. What is it?
If “a picture is worth a thousand words” (a Chinese proverb said to have been the work of Confucius, but probably wasn’t), then the fourth pic in this posting is worth many more—enough, perhaps, for a novel—it could be titled “Jaws V,” or perhaps a better title would be “Yet Another Episode in the Continuing and Monotonous Saga of Jaws.”
The seventh photo is almost identical to the fourth but the fin does not appear, so it must have appeared (or disappeared) between shots, depending on which was taken first.
Is it a buoy, or is it a windsurfer? I suppose it could be a sailboat, or perhaps a snorkeler (one with a weird sense of humor). Of course it might be a dolphin, but (gasp!)it could be a Great White on the prowl for dinner. It looks suspiciously like the dorsal fin on a large—a very large—shark.
On the off-chance that it is a Great White, I suggest (and pray) that you maintain Rex in tip-top mechanical condition when you wave-ride in this area, and that you maintain yourself in tip-top physical condition—just in case you have to swim for it!
(it’s another waverunner in the distance; not our one)
